In designing and manufacturing a custom staircase, every step is essential to help guarantee the final product is exactly what you envisioned. We make sure our Process is clearly defined and you know what to expect at every stage.
Years of experience has allowed us to compile an extensive portfolio. Our online photo gallery was designed to inspire by showcasing a number of our custom projects. Also available is the online Stair Visualizer which allows you to apply your ideas and design your own custom staircase in minutes. Our full catalog can be viewed online or you can request to have a complimentary print version mailed to you. The catalog features each of the stair parts we offer, as well as design and style ideas for all kinds of homes or commercial buildings. Our sales representatives are available to answer any questions you may have and to help you with the design process
Making the stair design work with the rest of your home or building is top priority. It’s important to give you every opportunity to communicate your vision and get your ideas onto paper. Any measurements or architectural drawings of your home or building will help the sales representative provide the most accurate drawings and quotation, avoiding the need for unnecessary revisions. Once the stair system has been designed, we provide you with a detailed estimate and shop drawings. Any necessary modifications are then made until the quotation and drawings are approved by you.
We guarantee a top-quality product by manufacturing your staircases in our quality-controlled facility. Our manufacturing area is climate-controlled to help eliminate warping and splitting. Every stair is built exactly as illustrated on the approved shop drawings to provide a perfect-fitting staircase. In the final stages of production, the rail system will be assembled, numbered in sequence, and dismantled for quick and easy installation. The curved top rail will also be bent to fit the exact curve of your staircase. Many of the StairWorld Differences, such as mitered and radius joints, cove moldings, and the fabrication of our color-matched treads are applied throughout this stage, helping to create a superior finished product.
Approximately 3 weeks before your stair is finished, we’ll call you to make delivery arrangements. We’ll also send a Delivery Notification and Site Preparation Guide. These notify you of the date and time you can expect the staircase to arrive as well as any other essential information needed for the delivery and installation. Equipped to handle all logistics surrounding shipping and delivery, our Logistics Department ensures the stair system is packaged, shipped, delivered safely and on time. Heavy-duty packaging is used to wrap and protect the entire stair and individual tread protectors are applied to protect the stair in your home or building as it may still be under construction. Whether you choose to have your stair system installed by a contractor of your choice or by a Certified StairWorld Installer, we help you ensure your site is ready and your installer is well-prepared by providing our 40-page Installation Guidelines Booklet with step-by-step instructions for proper installation of a StairWorld stair and railing system.
